HAIR TRANSPLANTATION

FUE is a relatively new hair transplantation technique. The surgeon, after removing individual hair follicles under local anesthesia, inserts the transplants into their final position at a predetermined density. With this method, no scars are created, but a prerequisite for its successful application is the sufficient elasticity of the skin at the point of application.

In the FUT technique, the doctor surgically removes a piece of skin with hair follicles, which, after separating them, is inserted into their final position. Since there are incisions, scars are created.

Although techniques in hair transplantation have evolved, there are many people who postpone the FUE implantation procedure, believing that their new hair may not be dense enough.

But what factors determine the degree of density of a hair transplantation? Apart of course from the experience and expertise of the doctor performing the transplantation, the main parameters are the following:

1. The number of transplanted hair follicles.
2. Purely medical reasons such as the metabolism of regenerative cells and the supply of specific radicals through the circulation with the necessary components for their survival.
3. The re-growth rate of the total number of implanted hair follicles.

Usually the patient is aware of the first two but is not informed about the third factor, which is the most important. This is because the hair follicles have to be extracted one by one from the donor area and transferred after some time to their new location. As a result, many of them are subjected to a disturbance of their biology (“shocked” because they come into contact with a foreign – unfriendly environment), resulting in their death.

HOW IS THE HGA – FUE TECHNIQUE APPLIED

The HGA – FUE procedure is similar to the advanced FUE BACK method that we apply at VF Laser Clinics, with the IMPORTANT difference that:

we process each hair follicle individually with Autologous Growth Factors in order to keep it alive and energetic in a 100% controlled environment!

Autologous growth factors are derived from a very small amount of the patient’s own  blood (that’s why they are called autologous).

NEW HAIR IMPLANTATION TECHNIQUE: UNSHAVEN

Thus, although it was clear that a very short haircut was necessary for the extraction and repositioning of hair follicles, professional and/or social reasons forced them not to carry out the transplantation after all.

At VF Laser Clinics, we apply the advanced U-FUE (Unshaven FUE) method, which does NOT REQUIRE ANY SHAVING, either of the donor or the recipient area!

We would like to point out that the HIGH QUALITY of the result REMAINS THE SAME, whether one chooses FUE BACK or U-FUE. What changes is that with U-FUE, the hair implantation process is not perceived, since no changes need to be made to the candidate’s crown.
