Fertility Check
A thorough investigation of a couple’s fertility is essential, before starting any pregnancy attempts with medical methods.
In general, for a couple, the chance of achieving pregnancy, when there are no fertility issues, can reach up to 20% per month. As a result, most women (85%) manage to become pregnant by the end of the first year of trying.
After this period, couples should consider consulting a specialist. However, for women over 40 years old, it is recommended to undergo a basic fertility check right from the beginning of their efforts.
THE APPROACH
Before starting any assisted conception program, we must:
- Investigate the male sperm’s ability to fertilize the egg
- Check follicular ovulation / ovarian reserves
- Examine the patency of the woman's fallopian tubes to ensure the egg can be fertilized by the sperm.
