Tummy tuck (or else abdominoplasty) is a cosmetic surgery procedure to make the abdomen more firm and thinner.

As mentioned above, abdominoplasty is the only effective solution when the problem of fat and excess skin in the abdomen is big.
The surgeon first makes a horizontal incision from the left to the right iliac spine, in the anterior abdomen (slightly lower than the level of the underwear). Next, the abdominal wall is detached and slid above the level of the navel. Another scar (circular) is applied to the navel to place the abdominal wall in its new position.
If required, the abdominal wall is also reinforced by appropriate suturing of the skin. In addition, along with abdominoplasty, correction of an umbilical hernia, white line hernia or inguinal hernia can be made if they are present.
The candidate for the surgery should be aware and accept the fact that the classic abdominoplasty requires a large horizontal incision (20-30cm), and has a relatively long recovery period. The scar that will be created will be at a lower height than the level of the underwear, and with time (or laser treatment) will fade, but it will remain visible.
